Take part in the Great British Dog Walk 2017

Calling all dog-lovers! The Great British Dog Walk is taking place between March and June 2017, and aims to raise funds to train hearing dogs.

16th March 2017
Hearing Dogs for Deaf People

Featuring 20 countryside walks, around 4,000 adults and over 500 dogs of all shapes and sizes are expected to take part in this year’s nationwide events.

There will be two different routes to choose from at each venue, many of which include National Trust properties, and is suitable for families with children, independent walkers and organised walking groups.

Hearing dogs alert their owners to important sounds that hearing people often take for granted such as the doorbell, alarm clock and smoke alarm.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People Chief Executive Michele Jennings said: “The Charity is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year and is very proud to have had such a positive impact on thousands of lives. But we couldn't have achieved what we have without the help of our wonderful supporters taking part in events such as The Great British Dog Walk and the dedication of all our volunteers."
