Cerigos, near Newport, Pembrokeshire
The pretty village of Cwm-yr-Eglwys - "The Valley of the Church", sits on a secluded cove on Dinas Head, on Pembrokeshire's north west coast. Tucked away on the hillside leading down to the cove and with beautiful views, Cerigos is a recently renovated stone cottage that sleeps up to six in flexible, wheelchair-friendly accommodation. The downstairs of the property is fully accessible and one of the two sitting rooms, which is accessed via a ramp, has twin day beds so can be converted into a bedroom for those with limited mobility. There's an adjacent downstairs wet-room that's wheelchair accessible as well as a level path leading to the rear of the house and a pretty landscaped garden.
The village is known for its atmospheric beachfront ruins of a 12th century chapel and there is easy access to the beach, where the sheltered cove offers safe bathing and a slipway for launching small boats. It's a beautiful spot to sit and watch life on the water, keeping an eye out for passing seals and dolphins. There's also a level, wheelchair-accessible path connecting Cwm-yr-Eglwys with an even smaller village on the opposite side of the headland, with another beach to explore and an excellent 500 year-old pub that offers great food.

Murmur y Ceri, near Llangrannog, Cardiganshire
Less well-known than neighbouring Pembrokeshire, the coast of Cardiganshire is a perfect place to really get away from it all and enjoy unspoilt scenery and beautiful beaches. Murmur y Ceri is a three bedroom cottage that's ideal for those with limited mobility - inside there is a huge open plan living/dining/kitchen area that's easy to get around, with a spacious twin bedroom downstairs and adjacent wet room with walk-in shower.
